Head in the Clouds: Ambient Floor Concept

OXI | Berlin | 2025

For OXI’s three-day New Year’s Eve party, I created Head in the Clouds, an ambient chill-out space designed to provide a softer closing to the celebrations and somewhere for people to rest after partying for several days.

I transformed one of the club’s dance floors using handmade, cloud-like velvet pillows suspended from the ceiling, alongside lighting tubes that I installed and programmed to create a soft, dream-like atmosphere. The combination changed the character of the existing dance floor into a more comfortable and restful environment.

On the final day of the three-day event, I also played a five-hour ambient set in the space, providing a continuous soundtrack for people winding down, resting and spending time together after the intensity of the New Year’s celebrations.
